How I (try to) stay busy
Updated: Jan 13
I have approached this 'pause' on every day life to do my best to focus more into my health habits and what I can do to help myself get back on track to where I want to be! As well as being furloughed, I am constantly looking for ways to fill my time.
* The skin- junkie within me has re-appeared and I have really been seeing a massive difference in my skin! I have been using this time to look into what my underlining issue is which makes me break out. I have completely cleaned my diet and have been doing regular exercise and eating more fresh foods, to dexox my system completely. I have been discovering genuine products which I have been using, which are already making a massive difference. The glorious weather we have been having has also made such an impact and I really feel I have on my way to finding a solution! Again, patience is key.
* Reading has been for me, such an escape. I have one consistently on the go. A few of my recent favourites have been :
Educated by Tara Westover
The Woman in the Window by A.J Finn
How to Fail by Elizabeth Day
Becoming by Michelle Obama
This is going to hurt by Adam Kay (very relevant for the current time)
If anyone is looking for a book to leave you feeling inspired, these are all great!
* I have completed two online courses within the space of a month, one focussing on how to build you personal brand image and one focussed on social marketing. As I happen to be fairly knew to the industry, I thought I would use the extra time on my hands to look into how I can project myself out there using social media, instead of meeting connections at network events. I have found groups of other events professionals and am focussing on how can I personally contribute to these communities?
I am really enjoying at this time building my own presence on my social platforms, mainly LinkedIn and Twitter and love being apart of something different!
